Abstract: The use of corpora is an essential element in language and culture teaching because it ensures the anchoring of reflection in the real space of the class of students. This paper explains the development ways in progress of corpora in didactics in relation to the different dynamics of the discipline and the objects observed. It discusses both the characteristics of the data that are part of the corpus and the general criteria for the constitution of a corpus in humanities. Finally, the various disciplines that fuel the epistemology of language didactics are discussed in relation to the methods of analysis of the corpora they propose.
