Abstract: Starting from the description of a corpus of chat interactions in French as a foreign language on some didactic projects formulated in a university exercise, this article aims to demonstrate the possibility of complementary approaches to data. The discursive and anthropological approach, the interacting approach and the morphological approach of the same corpus allow the formulation of mutually clear conclusions. Exercise is useful to young researchers because it allows the mobilization of different research tools and the
understanding of their implications on the findings.
